  • By the request of Formosan Presbyterian Church, we are asking you to continue to wear a face covering (such as a mask, face shield, etc) in our indoor gathering. Thank you for your cooperation.
  • We still have several families who had water damage from the winter storm in our congregation. Please continue to pray for them. We have used your offering to extend our loves toward them. They have send messages of gratitude for you. Thank you for being a giving church.
  • On Saturday, March 20th at 2pm, there will be a memorial service for Sister Etsuko Lee who has passed away last year. It will be at Words of Life Church  (7811 FM 1960, Humble, TX 77346). For the map, please click here.
  • On Sunday, March 21st, we will have a ministry of Rev. Noritaka Kunisawa from Dallas. Join us as we expect great things.
  • We thank Missionaries Nance for their ministry on February 14th. If you would like to join into their efforts through giving, please do so. Offerings that are received by the end of March with a note “the Nances” would be given to them collectively as a church.
  • We’ll have our bi-monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 24th at 7:30pm via Zoom.
  • To ensure the safety for our indoor Sunday gatherings, Pastor Nishi has been taking a screening test for COVID-19 every week. On February 28th, his screening result was positive. Pastor Nishi took another test on February 28th and the result was negative. He has further taken 2 tests on next day, March 1st. Both resulted in negative. He has not had any symptom and is doing well. Pastor Nishi has taken additional screening on Saturday, March 13th (yesterday) and his result was negative again. Thank you for your prayer and Pastor Nishi apologizes for the inconvenience.

  • 3月24日（水）午後7時半から、定例会をZoomで行います。
  • 屋内での日曜礼拝が安全に執り行われるように、西牧師は、毎週礼拝前に、コロナのスクリーニングテストを受けております。無症状の中、2月28日のスクリーニングで、陽性反応がでました。尚、西牧師は、28日、別の方法でテストを受けた結果、陰性反応とされました。更に、次の日・3月1日も2度テストを受けた結果、陰性反応とされた事をご報告いたします。無症状のままで、体調も良好です。その後、3月13日（土）・昨日のテストも結果は陰性でした。お祈りをありがとうございます。又、ご迷惑をおかけいたしました。

  • We have resumed a pre-service prayer at 11:30am (for the AM gathering) & 1:15pm (for the PM gathering). You may join at the church or zoom. The zoom ID is same as Sunday gatherings.
  • On Sunday, February 14th, we had a ministry of Missionaries Zach & Allison Nance. They shared their burden to reach souls in Japan. We are asking you to consider about partnering with their mission work through giving. Thank you for those who have already given. If you would like to give to their missionary work, please note in your offering as for the Nance’s. We’ll give all that we receive for this purpose to them. You have until the end of March to give.
  • About outdoor gathering: It has been a year since we have moved forward considering the health of all. It appears that it’ll be a while before the county and the city will lift their health & safety policy. With that understanding, we are considering to improve our outdoor gatherings. March & April in Houston are the best months to spend outside. Also, we’ll have the Easter in April. Thus, we feel like this would be a great opportunity for people to gather and fellowship. We’ll have our sound system, musician and the messenger outside as well. We’ll continue with the remote option. Thus, we’d like to get your feed back

To attend:

  1. Outdoor seating. We’ll prepare a seating at the church parking lot with the social distancing considered.
  2. Safely from your car. If you decided to be distanced from others, you can gather from your car. The sound will be much better and will not have issues that are caused via zoom, etc.

  • If you are having a problem by not having heater, electricity, water, hot water, food, etc, please feel free to let us know. We may be able to help. We can also help those who are suffering from pipe bursting/water damage. Please pray for Formosan Presbyterian Church and 8 families connected to our church who had some water damages: provision, sincere responses from the insurance company, wisdom for the restoration, for things to go smoothly. We are grateful for people who have responded for the water damage: Brothers Zach, Tatsu, Keito, Dean, Li, Briceon, Brother & Sister Shinagawa, Sisters Akemi & Julia.
  • For March 5th & 6th, Reaching Japanese for Christ will host an online conference. There will be ministers from Japan and the US who will discuss about how to live as a Christian in the midst of COVID-19 world. Everything will be translated into English. For more information, please click here. Registration is FREE. Please note that we’d cancel our Friday night praise and prayer time due to this event.

  • 2月14日（日）の礼拝は、Nance宣教師ご夫妻がミニストリーして頂きました。日本宣教への熱意と使命について語って頂きました。又、彼らの宣教の働きの為に献金する事も考慮して頂ければ感謝です。すでに献金して下さっている方々に感謝です。献金の際に、ナンス家の為に、と書いて頂ければ、全額彼らの宣教の働きの為に献金させて頂きます。3月末までに献金して頂ければ幸いです。
  • 屋外での礼拝について：皆様の健康を考慮しつつ前進してきて約1年が経ちます。今の現状では、郡や市のHealth ＆ Safety Policyが解かれるのは、まだまだ先の話になりそうです。その現状を考慮して、3月・4月は、もっと屋外でも礼拝しやすい形をとる事を考えております。Houstonの3月・4月は、1年でもっとも外で過ごしやすい時期です。又、4月には、イースター等もあり、共に礼拝し、又距離を置きつつ、お交わりする良い機会となると察します。音響システムや奏楽者、メッセンジャーも外で礼拝する事を考えております。尚、リモートの部分は、続けます。そこで、皆様からのご意見を賜りたいと願っております。

具体的には、参加方法としては、

➀屋外の席で。教会の駐車場にSocial Distanceを考慮して席をご用意いたします。
➁安全に車の中から。周りの方と距離を置く事を望まれる方々は、車の中から、参加できるようにいたします。音も、Zoom等で起きる聞こえにくかったり、音が割れるような事なく聞こえます。

それで、皆様のご意見を聞きたいので、ぜひ、下のアンケートにお答えくださいませ。

  • もし、暖房、電気、水、お湯、食料等が無くて困っておられる方々、あるいは、水害等の被害があった方々がおられましたら、お気軽に教会へご相談くださいませ。我々がお借りしている、台湾教会の敷地内で水害がございました。又、会衆の方々及び教会に関わっておられる方々で、8軒水害に遭われた方々がおられます。必要な備え、保険会社からの誠意ある対応、修復作業への知恵、物事がスムーズに行くようにと祈って頂ければ感謝です。特に、水害対応に駆けつけてくださった、品川兄弟姉妹、Zach兄弟、山田兄弟、圭人兄弟、昇太兄弟、あけみ姉妹、Julia姉妹、Li兄弟、Joe兄弟、Briceon兄弟のお働きに感謝いたします。

  • 本日の礼拝後に、お交わりの時を３０分ほど持ちますので、ご興味のあられる方々は、残ってお交わり下さいませ。
  • 本日、2月14日（日）の礼拝は、Nance宣教師がミニストリーして下さいます。牧師が日本語で訳します。日本宣教への熱意と使命について語って頂きます。又、彼らの宣教の働きの為に献金する事も考慮して頂ければ感謝です。すでに献金して下さっている方々に感謝です。献金の際に、ナンス家の為に、と書いて頂ければ、全額彼らの宣教の働きの為に献金させて頂きます。3月末までに献金して頂ければ幸いです。
  • 屋外での礼拝について：皆様の健康を考慮しつつ前進してきて約1年が経ちます。今の現状では、郡や市のHealth ＆ Safety Policyが解かれるのは、まだまだ先の話になりそうです。その現状を考慮して、3月・4月は、もっと屋外でも礼拝しやすい形をとる事を考えております。Houstonの3月・4月は、1年でもっとも外で過ごしやすい時期です。又、4月には、イースター等もあり、共に礼拝し、又距離を置きつつ、お交わりする良い機会となると察します。音響システムや奏楽者、メッセンジャーも外で礼拝する事を考えております。尚、リモートの部分は、続けます。そこで、皆様からのご意見を賜りたいと願っております。

具体的には、参加方法としては、

➀屋外の席で。教会の駐車場にSocial Distanceを考慮して席をご用意いたします。
➁安全に車の中から。周りの方と距離を置く事を望まれる方々は、車の中から、参加できるようにいたします。音も、Zoom等で起きる聞こえにくかったり、音が割れるような事なく聞こえます。

それで、皆様のご意見を聞きたいので、ぜひ、下のアンケートにお答えくださいませ。

  • 通常の火曜日のバイブル・スタディーは、「恵みに満ちたクリスチャン生活の鍵」のシリーズ第2弾を６週間行っています。詳細は、こちらのリンクから。尚、このシリーズは録画され、YouTubeにアップされますので、時間が合わない方々も参加できます。修了者には、修了証書をお渡しいたします。YouTubeででも、修了できますので、YouTubeでご覧になられた方々は、お申しでください。尚、下記の兄弟姉妹方が、修了されました。おめでとうございます。

Weekday Online Small Groups (Access to Zoom as the same way as Sunday)

  • Prayer group: every Wednesday at 4:30pm
  • Bible study group: 1st, 3rd & 5th Wednesday at 7:00pm (next one is Wednesday, February 17th)
  • Praise & Prayer hour: every Friday at 7:00pm

  • We have resumed a pre-service prayer at 11:30am (for the AM gathering) & 1:15pm (for the PM gathering). You may join at the church or zoom. The zoom ID is same as Sunday gatherings.
  • Today, will have a ministry of Missionary Nance. They’ll share their burden to reach souls in Japan. We’ll also ask you to consider about supporting their mission work. Thank you for those who have already given. If you would like to give to their missionary work, please note in your offering as for the Nance’s. We’ll give all that we receive for this purpose to them. You have until the end of March to give.
  • About outdoor gathering: It has been a year since we have moved forward considering the health of all. It appears that it’ll be a while before the county and the city will lift their health & safety policy. With that understanding, we are considering to improve our outdoor gatherings. March & April in Houston are the best months to spend outside. Also, we’ll have the Easter in April. Thus, we feel like this would be a great opportunity for people to gather and fellowship. We’ll have our sound system, musician and the messenger outside as well. We’ll continue with the remote option. Thus, we’d like to get your feed back

To attend:

  1. Outdoor seating. We’ll prepare a seating at the church parking lot with the social distancing considered.
  2. Safely from your car. If you decided to be distanced from others, you can gather from your car. The sound will be much better and will not have issues that are caused via zoom, etc.

  • We encourage you to value relationships with each other. Please call, write, text or whatever the way you can do to stay connected especially among your small groups. If you need to have an online/virtual meetings for prayer, fellowship, and Bible study, please feel free to let pastor know. Our video calling system is available for you to use as well.

  • Thank you for those who has given in 2020. Because of your giving, we were able to move forward and fulfill God’s mission in the midst of a challenging year. We thank Sis. Ai, and Bro & Sis Matsumura for working on our finance team faithfully. They have prepared the 2020 contribution statement for you and that you should have received it by now.
