Things to Remember

  • While we’ll have water and some ice etc, please take care of yourself.
  • Tips on dealing with heat:
    • Stay hydrated
    • Wear a cap
    • Use a fan to keep yourself cool
    • Sun screen
    • Stay out of the direct sunlight (Use shades, etc)
  • We’ll have tshirts available at the festival but you are not required to wear them. Please wear what you’d feel comfortable but Christian-appropriate.
  • If you need to leave early, please do not hesitate.
  • Depending on the weather, we may leave earlier than planned.
  • We are expecting a nice weather. However, if you have any question, please feel free to contact Pastor Nishi at 409.673.1007.
  • Free parking are around the park. However, please note that the near-by zoo will open at 9am, and expect to fill up all the free parking quickly around 9am. If you are planning to arrive later, please plan. The train station is nearby and conveniently located. There are some free street parking but will need to walk some.

  • 天候次第では、早めに切り上げる事がありますのでご了承下さい。

  • 無料駐車場が公園の周りにありますが、動物園が9時ごろに開園します。午前9時ごろから駐車場はすぐに埋まり始めます。あとから来られる予定の方々は、ご計画ください。なお、電車の駅が近くにあるので、ご利用できます。日曜日は、ストリート・パーキングは無料ですが、公園からは少し離れた所になります。

Dear ICCH Family,

I hope this message finds you well. As we reflect on the past year since Kiyo’s passing, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the unwavering support and love you have shown our family.

Your kindness and willingness to offer help without hesitation have been a source of strength for us. In the midst of our grief, we’ve found solace in sharing stories of God’s guidance and the assurance that Kiyo is now watching over us from heaven. One touching moment occurred when our oldest, Tokiko, discovered a treasure box filled with verses that Shinobu had given her when she was a baby. Even though she can’t read yet, she identified a particular verse and exclaimed, “This is the one!” . It happened to be the verse that our father cherished: “as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” – Joshua 24:15.

This brought tears of joy to our eyes, reinforcing the sense that God’s presence continues to guide us. While we still miss our father dearly, the support of our church family has been a beacon of light during these challenging times.

As Shinobu relocates to Dallas to be with Towa and her family, we remain in the Seattle area. We cherish the thought of visiting Houston someday and would be delighted to reconnect with any of you if you find yourselves in Seattle area.  （Kozue: 425-420-6852）

ICCHの皆様、

ご無沙汰していますが、皆様お変わりなくお過ごしでしょうか。この度２月２６日で父清和の一周忌を無事に迎えることができました。この一年は家族にとっても毎日が寂しく、辛いものでありながらも、皆様のあたたかいお心遣いに支えられて過ごすことができました。父を亡くすという悲しみ、先が見えなくなる不安に押しつぶされそうになりながらも、母の忍がＩＣＣＨの皆さんに常にサポートしていただいている安心感、離れている私達へもご連絡くださるなど、皆さんの見返りを求めない優しさの数々に救われました。ありがとうございました。一つ、印象的な話をシェアします。長女の都紀子が家で遊んでいる時に「これよ！」と嬉しそうに小さな紙を私達に見せてくれたことがありました。それは母忍が都紀子にプレゼントしてくれた宝箱なのですが、その中にはいくつもの小さな紙に聖句がそれぞれかかれているものです、そこには「我と我が家は主に仕えん」ヨシュア記24章15節が書かれていました。私達は自然と涙を流し、そして神様の御心の中に自分達がいるという心の平安を感じながら前を向くことができました。

母忍は今ダラスへの引っ越しを計画し、妹永遠の家族とこれから住むことになります。私達家族はシアトルに残りますが、またいつかヒューストンを訪れることを楽しみしています。もし皆さんがシアトルにいらっしゃる際は是非お声がけください。（梢:425-420-6852）

Texas multi-church virtual choir

2024年のイースターは、テキサスにある日本語で伝道している幾つかの教会とVirtual Choirを行います。どうぞお気軽にご参加下さい。下記の詳細で見て頂く通り：

A. 女性は、1番を日本語で歌います

B. 男性は、2番を英語で歌います

C. 全員で3番とコーラスを一部は英語で一部は日本語で歌います。

録音は、2月18日の午後1時半の礼拝後に行います。必要に応じて、追加の録音を25日にも行う予定です。また、個人的にも録音して頂いても構いません。

For Easter 2024, several Texas churches who minister in Japanese are joining together for a virtual choir. We’d like all of you to be involved as well. As you’d see :

A. Ladies will sing verse 1 in Japanese (romaji provided)

B. Men will sing verse 2 in English

C. all will sing verse 3 and chorus some part in English and some part in Japanese (romaji provided)

The initial recording will be done after the 1:30pm gathering on Sunday, February 18th. We will also have an additional recording on Sunday, February 25th as needed. You can also record them individually.
