Dear ICCH Family,

I hope this message finds you well. As we reflect on the past year since Kiyo’s passing, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the unwavering support and love you have shown our family.

Your kindness and willingness to offer help without hesitation have been a source of strength for us. In the midst of our grief, we’ve found solace in sharing stories of God’s guidance and the assurance that Kiyo is now watching over us from heaven. One touching moment occurred when our oldest, Tokiko, discovered a treasure box filled with verses that Shinobu had given her when she was a baby. Even though she can’t read yet, she identified a particular verse and exclaimed, “This is the one!” . It happened to be the verse that our father cherished: “as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” – Joshua 24:15.

This brought tears of joy to our eyes, reinforcing the sense that God’s presence continues to guide us. While we still miss our father dearly, the support of our church family has been a beacon of light during these challenging times.

As Shinobu relocates to Dallas to be with Towa and her family, we remain in the Seattle area. We cherish the thought of visiting Houston someday and would be delighted to reconnect with any of you if you find yourselves in Seattle area.  （Kozue: 425-420-6852）

ICCHの皆様、

ご無沙汰していますが、皆様お変わりなくお過ごしでしょうか。この度２月２６日で父清和の一周忌を無事に迎えることができました。この一年は家族にとっても毎日が寂しく、辛いものでありながらも、皆様のあたたかいお心遣いに支えられて過ごすことができました。父を亡くすという悲しみ、先が見えなくなる不安に押しつぶされそうになりながらも、母の忍がＩＣＣＨの皆さんに常にサポートしていただいている安心感、離れている私達へもご連絡くださるなど、皆さんの見返りを求めない優しさの数々に救われました。ありがとうございました。一つ、印象的な話をシェアします。長女の都紀子が家で遊んでいる時に「これよ！」と嬉しそうに小さな紙を私達に見せてくれたことがありました。それは母忍が都紀子にプレゼントしてくれた宝箱なのですが、その中にはいくつもの小さな紙に聖句がそれぞれかかれているものです、そこには「我と我が家は主に仕えん」ヨシュア記24章15節が書かれていました。私達は自然と涙を流し、そして神様の御心の中に自分達がいるという心の平安を感じながら前を向くことができました。

母忍は今ダラスへの引っ越しを計画し、妹永遠の家族とこれから住むことになります。私達家族はシアトルに残りますが、またいつかヒューストンを訪れることを楽しみしています。もし皆さんがシアトルにいらっしゃる際は是非お声がけください。（梢:425-420-6852）
